As a health and wellness clinic, Beamer Falls Manor Inc. operates in accordance with Government legislation and the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. As Registered Physiotherapists, our services here are considered essential and we will not be requiring proof of vaccination for you to receive treatment. We respect every person’s right to privacy as defined in Ontario law. We will not be sharing your vaccine status or any of your confidential health information with government officials.
We believe that people are intelligent enough to understand the risk associated with Covid-19 and the measures that will keep us all safe. Pre-screening, outdoor treatments, deep cleaning, therapeutic treatments, common sense, and most importantly, self-care are the pillars of our Covid-19 safety protocols. It is also vitally important that you feel comfortable and free of anxiety during your visit. While we can take steps to make you feel safe, we cannot guarantee your safety.
If you are anxious at all about being around other people in a high contact environment (ie. hands-on therapeutic treatment session), please stay at home and consider postponing your visit. Your options are to call us ahead of time so we can work with you directly to calm your nervous system, before doing an in-person session. We have online treatment sessions available.
To create a safe and anxiety-free environment and in keeping with the recommendations from public health, we have implemented the following protocols for all guests.
You must be free from symptoms of Covid-19 or any contagious illness 72 hours prior to arrival.
Prior to arrival, you will receive an email with a link to the Ontario Government Covid-19 Self-Assessment tool. You will also receive a pre-arrival screening call. Any changes in condition between booking and arrival must be disclosed immediately.
If you have concerns about Covid-19 you can postpone your booking, without penalty.
For our team here at The Sanctuary, we have a zero-symptom policy. If we experience any symptoms, we will call you in advance and reschedule your appointment.
If you are seeking treatment for Covid-19 or other respiratory illnesses, please let us know beforehand so we can ensure that we are set up properly to work with you, if possible. This may mean setting up an outdoor treatment space and adding extra time to sanitize surfaces and amenities before and after your visit.
Our amenities are all outdoors on our 22-acre property. If you do happen to come across another human being, please be responsible for your own energy while greeting others.
The wearing of face coverings is not necessary at Beamer Falls Sanctuary. You will never be in a high contact, enclosed area other than during your therapeutic service session. Please understand that there will likely be no one else wearing a mask at our health and wellness retreats. For your therapeutic services, if the attending practitioner has any symptoms, then your appointment will be re-scheduled. No attending clinician will be wearing a mask at Beamer Falls Sanctuary. If this is important to you that your clinician wear a mask, then our clinic will not be able to meet your request. The Sanctuary was designed with open, outdoor spaces where you will be in constant contact with nature, and will not be required to wear a mask by us. If you choose to wear a mask, you will be welcome here.
There are multiple locations to wash hands or hand sanitize throughout The Sanctuary. Although Covid-19 is an airborne illness, we encourage guests to wash their hands if it helps them feel safer. Please keep in mind that you will not be in any close contact with anybody else during your stay other than the onsite clinician, who will have no symptoms of any kind. As stated above, if we have any symptoms of any kind, we will postpone your session ahead of time.
For all cleaning and sanitization, we are using Benefect Botanical Decon 30 Disinfectant Cleaner - Professional Grade Cleaning with No Hazardous Chemicals for Household or Commercial Use. We use this in our fogger, which kills some airborne viruses and bacteria.
Common areas and the indoor treatment room has a HEPA filtration system.
Our treatment rooms are disinfected between each treatment. If you do not feel safe or comfortable in the indoor treatment environment or be in close contact with the onsite clinician, you can request a contactless treatment session. This will be an outdoor treatment session in the hydrotherapy circuit. This will also mean maintaining a physical distance of 10 feet outdoors with exercise prescription, nutrition coaching, and lifestyle modifications as the modality.
We offer a 2-hour on-site session at the sanctuary on your own in addition to the therapeutic hands-on treatment, which can include the hydrotherapy circuit, meditation, exercise, yoga, and hydration with tea and water. Maintaining a healthy immune system is vital to defending yourself from Covid-19 and many other illnesses and disease.
